A tragic incident led to the sudden closure of Teddington School in south west London this morning, after a man passed away outside the school gates. Children were sent home shortly before 9am, leaving parents in suspense about the reason for the closure. Emergency services, including police and ambulances, responded to the scene where the man was pronounced deceased despite efforts to save him.

The London Ambulance Service reported receiving a call at 7.17am regarding an unwell individual on Broom Road in Teddington. Various medical personnel were dispatched to the location, but unfortunately, the man could not be revived. The Metropolitan Police indicated that the incident was a ‘medical emergency’ and the ambulance service was leading the response.

Teddington School, situated in the Richmond upon Thames borough, caters to students aged 11 and above, offering co-educational state education and a sixth form program. Concerned parents shared updates on social media about the closure and emergency response at the school, indicating that students were sent home early due to the incident.
